1000 Islands Privateers 2010-11

The Privateers found great success under head coach and general manager Mike Elberty in the franchise's inaugural season. 1000 Islands finished the first ever Federal Hockey League season with a record of 44 wins, 26 losses, and 13 ties. That record earned 1000 Islands a third place finish in the standings and a playoff berth against Akwesasne. The Warriors defeated the Privateers 3 games to 1 in a best of 5 series on their way to winning the Commissioner's Cup.

Alex Goupil led the Privateers in scoring and was named 2010-11 Rookie of the Year in the FHL. The center scored 44 goals in 42 games and Goupil assisted on 35 goals throughout the season. Goupil's 77 total points led the entire league. 1000 Islands wing Tyler Fernandez finished third in scoring in the league with 67 points on 23 goals and 44 assists. His assist total placed Fernandez second in the league in setting up goals. Privateers goalie Josselin St. Pierre was a huge reason for the Privateers success as well. St. Pierre finished the season second in the FHL with a goals against average of 2.78.

The Privateers made the Bonnie Castle Recreation Center home in Alexandria Bay. 1000 Islands had a record of 15-6-3 thanks in large part to the loud and proud fans. The Privateers finished second in attendance for the entire FHL packing in over 14,000 loyals for the first campaign.
